Production house Hombale Films has officially announced its new film “YETO KA NAAY,” a hip-hop musical aimed at younger audiences, particularly Gen Z viewers.
The production banner, known for films such as K.G.F, Salaar, Kantara, Mahavatar Narsimha and Rajakumara, has announced the project as a content-driven musical film centered on hip-hop culture.
Set entirely against the backdrop of Mumbai, the film’s Hindi version is being prepared for release under the title “YKN – Pehla Vaar.” According to the makers, the project will present a music-based narrative.
The film is being produced by Vijay Kiragandur and directed by Sarang Sathaye. The screenplay has been jointly written by Sarang Sathaye, Sujay Jadhav, Srushti Tawade and Shreyas Sagvekar.
The film features music by A. V. Prafullachandra and cinematography by Harshvir Oberai. Shooting is currently underway in Mumbai, and the makers are planning to release the film before the end of this year.
Sources within Hombale Films have also indicated that the production house is currently evaluating a range of Kannada stories with diverse themes. The company is said to be planning the announcement of more content-driven Kannada films in the near future.
