TRAILER OF AI-BASED KANNADA FILM ‘GARUDA’ RELEASED

The trailer of the Kannada film ‘Garuda,’ which revolves around the impact of artificial intelligence technology on people and children, was recently released at an event attended by the film’s cast and crew.

The film has been produced under the Shaivam Films banner by Kiran S., who has also written the story and screenplay, directed the film, and worked as the cinematographer. The makers stated that the film explores whether AI technology will become beneficial or harmful to society in the future.

Speaking at the trailer launch event, director Kiran S said ‘Garuda’ is an action suspense thriller. He stated that the project initially began in 2024 as a pilot film before eventually developing into ‘Garuda.’

According to him, the film is fictional and follows a non-linear narrative structure in which four separate stories eventually converge at one point. He added that the protagonist’s project in the film is also titled ‘Garuda,’ and the story focuses on how he overcomes obstacles to achieve success. He further said that around 30 to 40 percent of the film deals with AI, while the remaining portions focus on drama. The movie was shot for 45 days in and around Bengaluru.

Actor Rithwan Srinivas said he had earlier acted in several television serials and added that his role in the film is connected to technology and carries the story forward.

Actor Saurav Prashanth said he too had appeared in multiple serials and described his role as a character with shades of both hero and villain. He also stated that the film would connect with audiences.

Actress Divya Chandra said she plays the character Apoorva, which remains central to the story from beginning to end. She added that she had earlier acted in Namo Bhootatma 2.

Actor Vivek said he was happy to be part of the film. Actors Abhimahesh, Abhishek, and Kiran also shared details about the project during the event.

The music for ‘Garuda’ has been composed by Santosh Joshua. The cast of the film also includes Vinay Prabhakar, Wilfred, Vivek, Saubhagya Handral, Dilip Kumar, and Bahubali Manju in supporting roles. The makers are planning to release ‘Garuda’ in theatres in June.
