The shooting of “Ayogya 2,” starring Satish Ninasam and Rachita Ram, has recently been completed. Directed by Mahesh Kumar, the film has been generating attention since its launch. The first installment, “Ayogya,” had achieved commercial success, following which the team moved ahead with the sequel. The film is currently in the post-production stage.
The song “Enammi Enammi” from “Ayogya” had earlier created a record by becoming the first Kannada song to cross 100 million views. Now, the team is preparing to present another musical outing with “Ayogya 2.” Ahead of the release, the film is making news for its audio rights deal.
While the audio rights of the first “Ayogya” film were sold for ₹9 lakh, the sequel’s audio rights have been acquired for a significantly higher amount. Anand Audio has purchased the audio rights of “Ayogya 2” for ₹2 crore.
Speaking about the development, director Mahesh Kumar said that all the songs from “Ayogya” had become popular, especially “Enammi Enammi,” which crossed 100 million views and set a record in Kannada cinema. He added that “Ayogya 2” also features notable songs composed by Arjun Janya, with lyrics written by Chetan Kumar. According to the director, despite his busy schedule, Arjun Janya worked extensively on the music for the film.
Mahesh Kumar further stated that the story of “Ayogya 2” begins the day after the events of the first film conclude. Apart from the introduction of a few new characters, most of the existing characters continue into the sequel. The film follows Siddhegowda, who becomes a gram panchayat member at the end of the first part, and the challenges he faces afterward.
The film is produced by M. Munegowda. The supporting cast includes Sundar Raj, Shivaraj K.R. Pete, Aruna Balraj and Manju Pavagada. The cinematography is handled by Vishwajith Rao, who previously worked on “Shakhahaari,” while dialogues are written by Masti Upparahalli.
