Introducing ‘E Pattanakke Enagide,’ a fresh Kannada film that creatively explores various societal disparities from an entertainment perspective. The director and lead actor, as well as co-producer Ravi Subba Rao, possess unconventional thinking, primarily focusing on challenging the regional censor board to grant the film a censor certificate.
Unfazed by initial rejection, Ravi Subba Rao, who has dedicated five years to this project, took the film to the Tribunal in Hyderabad, where it was eventually granted an A certificate with a few minor modifications.
When questioned about his mindset in presenting such a film to the audience, Ravi Subba Rao confidently cites the significant investments, including contributions from his own wife, who has even urged for a divorce. However, he remains resolute, planning to return her money before proceeding with the divorce.
The film, which incurred an investment of around 80 lakhs of rupees, delves into themes of lust, greed, and pride, promising to showcase five intriguing ‘Bhagyas’ (destinies) – Shanthi, Kranthi, Branthi, Vanthi, and Kunthi Bhagya.
When asked about the unconventional approach taken in the movie, Ravi Subba Rao explains that it emphasizes the stark reality of betting and gambling lifestyles, portrayed in a raw and authentic manner.
Regarding the presence of bold scenes featuring actress Radhika Ram in the teaser, she dismisses any concerns, highlighting the double standards prevalent in society when compared to similar scenes involving other actresses like Deepika Padukone.
Aside from Radhika Ram, the film also features Sona, Sandhya, and Seema as the other three heroines.
The film boasts Ritesh as the producer, Anil CJ as the music director, and actor Satish Shetty and distributor Ramesh also present during the media address.
