“Mrutyudevate,” written, directed, and starring by Naveen Mahadev for the first time, has been completely finished and is now at the stage of release.
On Thursday evening at Utsav Legacy auditorium, along with the songs ‘Kaali’ and ‘Mahadev,’ the trailer was also released. Former councilor and businessman K. Ramesh released the trailer, while businessman and social worker Srinivas released the song ‘Mahadev’ and wished the team success. Senior actress Vinaya Prasad, who has played an important role in the film, released the making video of the song ‘Kaali.’
Speaking on the occasion, director Naveen Mahadev said, “Earlier, I had made a short film. Even before its release, I wrote the story and screenplay and directed ‘Mrutyudevate’ for the first time. No matter how intelligent or educated women are, sometimes they unknowingly fall into traps. I have tried to convey that in this film. There is a dialogue in the film that says, ‘Girls who value their dignity should not be with people who are into drinking, money, bad company, and arrogance.’ A girl who suffers from all this calmly says these words and walks away.
When the suffering goes beyond limits, the girl transforms into ‘Mrutyudevate’, taking the fierce form of Chandi-Chamundi. That is the core of this story. Without thinking that newcomers have made it, watch and support the film. We are planning to release the film on the occasion of Dr. Rajkumar’s birthday. The film is already complete and will soon go for censor certification,” said Naveen Mahadev. Apparently his investment is from the ancestors property rent for this film.
Sarika, who had earlier acted in the women-centric film ‘Sahara,’ said, “In this film, I play the role of Aarti, an innocent girl. It shows how far someone like her can go when provoked. I have performed fight sequences for the first time in this film. Cinematographer Anirudh has portrayed all of us very well. For many days, I didn’t even see sunlight because we shot continuously at night. We filmed in forests at night. With the complete support and encouragement of the team, the film has come out well.
