With the aim of creating a new wave in the Kannada independent music scene, Vaishnavi Films has prepared a distinctive album song titled ‘Aahana’. This project is a blend of an emotional story and innovative music.
This album is produced by Vijay Lohith (Vaishnavi Films) with co-production by Satish H. Gowda, and the music is composed by Rajat Hegde.
The special aspect of this project is that the talented artist Rajat Hegde has not only composed the music but has also lent his voice as the singer. Moreover, he appears as the lead actor in the video, bringing life to this emotional journey. The beautiful heroine from Mysuru Roshani Prakash appears very mod in female lead of this novel attempt album ‘Aahana’.
‘Aahana’ explores the relationship between an artist and music. The core idea of the song revolves around a deep question: “What happens when an artist longs to reach music, but the music itself rejects him?” Since this story is inspired by Rajat Hegde’s own creative experiences, there is a unique intimacy in both his performance and music. ‘Aahana’ means “the first ray of the sun,” symbolizing awakening, hope, and a new beginning.
Narayan Sharma has given the song a distinctive ‘retro-modern’ sound. A highlight of the album is the seamless fusion of Indian classical music’s tanpura with modern synth music. Another special feature is that the song was shot at Kanteerava Studio, where massive sets were constructed within just 14 hours.
“Currently, Kannada independent music albums are being produced less frequently. Through multi-talented artists like Rajat Hegde, we aim to bring new ideas to the audience. Providing a platform for newcomers is the main objective of our organization,” said producer Vijay Lohith of Vaishnavi Films.
