At a well-attended trailer release event of the Kannada film Super Hit, a laugh riot in the pipeline, the advice given by veteran comedy actor, music director, director, and KCA Chairman Sadhu Kokila proved to be apt.

According to Sadhu Kokila, having events like trailer launches is fine, but when the film Super Hit releases in theatres, the team must struggle hard to bring audiences to cinemas. This, he said, is a must-follow policy to maintain a film’s good status. With his 35 years of experience in the industry and his standing today, Sadhu Kokila’s advice holds great value for the Super Hit team.

Sadhu Kokila appreciated the calibre of Gilli Nata (recent Bigg Boss winner), actor Gaurav Shetty, and director Vijayanand (Anandapriya). “Although I worked only for three days, my role continues till the end,” he explained, and wished the team a success befitting the title.

Super Hit stars Bigg Boss winner Gilli in the lead role and is directed by Vijayanand. Even from hints about its core theme, the movie has already sparked discussions among audiences, and Gilli’s popularity has further strengthened its buzz.

Vijayanand, brother of V. Nagendra Prasad, has directed this film. While speaking after announcing the release date of Super Hit through a small teaser, he recalled sweet memories from the time the story was conceived to the present. Expressing gratitude that everything progressed smoothly, like flowers blooming from the very beginning of the writing process, Vijayanand praised producer G. Umesh’s love for cinema for producing the entire film without any compromises. He expressed confidence in the film’s content and execution, assuring that the film is guaranteed to be a super hit. He also requested audiences to support the film and help it run successfully for 100 days.

On the same platform, Vijayanand shared another happy piece of news, announcing that the OTT rights of Super Hit have been purchased by a new company, Catch and Watch, for a big amount. Producer G. Umesh, who lovingly made the film, briefly expressed his passion for cinema and confidence in Super Hit, appealing to everyone to help make this film—his first step—a success.

Kavirathna Dr. V. Nagendra Prasad, who handled lyrics and music and also acted in a special role, appreciated the way Super Hit has turned out and mentioned that the glow of Gilli’s success has been a boon for the film. He also lovingly advised Gilli about the responsibility of promoting films, irrespective of which movie one has acted in.

Later, Gilli, the central pillar of the film, thanked the director for giving him the opportunity to play the main role and shared his shooting experiences. He also clarified a few issues, including a recent controversy, and requested everyone to watch and bless Super Hit. “I am one of the actors in the film and not the hero,” he clarified.

Gaurav Shetty, a very promising actor known for comedy roles, has had three releases in the last 15 days—Amrutha Anjan, Sukhibhava, and Rakkasapurudhol—and grabbed attention for his performances in all three films. His fourth release arrives on February 27, and he assures that this film will be a stress-relief entertainer.

Shwetha, the female lead, revealed that producer Umesh had a simple marriage and invested everything into this film, highlighting his passion for cinema. She expressed hope that he would emerge victorious with this film.

The film is produced by G. Umesh under the banner Vijayalakshmi Enterprises. Nagendra Prasad has brought a character to life. The film features cinematography by R. D. Nagarjun, editing by Srikanth, and lyrics and music direction by V. Nagendra Prasad.

The cast includes Dragon Manju, Sadhu Kokila, Seenu Bhai, Nagavardhan, Pramod Shetty, Gigi, Giri, Tennis Krishna, Karisubbu, Vamshi, Manjanna, B. N. Mangala, Mangaluru Meenanatha, and others. This comedy suspense thriller will be released grandly across more than 200 theatres statewide on February 27.
