Here is the team of Marali Manasagide, brimming with confidence. After eight paid premieres, in which over 1,000 people watched the film and shared very positive feedback, the Benaka Talkies production, directed by the intelligent Nagaraj Shanker, is hitting the silver screen on over 20 screens from February 12.

The confidence level of one of the producers, Naveen Kumar R.O., is very high, and he is certain that advance word-of-mouth publicity will benefit the film. “We have conducted paid premieres in different places across Karnataka and assessed the audience mood. Having paid premieres at Rs. 400 per ticket is not a disadvantage when the theatrical release happens a few days later,” he says. “We have made a novel film for family audiences, created with very good technicians and actors.”

To attract audiences to more than 20 screens across the state from February 12, Naveen Kumar has also organized a new strategy. How it works is an interesting point for the Kannada film industry.

Marali Manasaagide. The trailer looks good, and those who watched the paid premieres are happy. The film is releasing on February 12. Produced under the Benaka Talkies banner by Mudegowda Naveen Kumar R.O., Teligi Mallikarjunappa, Nagaraj Shankar, and Ashith Subrahmanya, and directed by Nagaraj Shankar, with Arjun Vedanth in the lead role, the trailer of Marali Manasaagide was recently released.

Speaking about the release, lead actor Arjun Vedanth said, “After ten years, my Kannada film Marali Manasaagide is releasing on February 12. The film Kudla Café, in which I acted, was released on February 12, 2016. Now, after ten years, this film is coming to theatres. Through the songs and teaser, the film has already reached people’s hearts.

The trailer is also receiving a good response. Before the release, we arranged paid premieres of Marali Manasaagide in places like Bengaluru, Puttur, and Udupi. The response from those who watched our film there has filled our hearts. We are confident that the same opinion will come from audiences even after the release.”

Producer Mudegowda Naveen Kumar R.O., speaking, said, “Challenging Star Darshan is the inspiration for me to enter the film industry. Usually, trailers are released before premiere shows. But we completed the paid premieres first and then released the trailer. With the cooperation of the film team, a good film will come before you on February 12. Please watch and encourage our film only in theatres.”

Director Nagaraj Shankar, armed with an engineering graduation, said, “Marali Manasaagide is the first film of my cinema journey, and it took three years to complete. My passion and vision have not changed. Vinu Manassu’s musical magic and Haalesh’s beautiful cinematography uplift the film. Paid premieres of our film were held at eight places, and more than a thousand people have watched it. Hearing words of praise from everyone who watched the film has made me very happy. This is a film that does not cheat the audience of the money they pay. This is not an ordinary love story; it is a film with strong content that will reach common people. We have also touched upon surrogacy in this film.”

“This is a musical film too,” says ace composer Vinu Manassu. “There are 12 songs in MM. The care the team has taken for this film is something I have not seen in my journey of composing music for 120 Kannada films.” For the title track Marali Manasagide…, Kunal Ganjawala has rendered his voice for lyrics written by renowned lyricist K. Kalyan.

Heroines Niriksha Shetty and Smruti Venkatesh, actor Girish Jatti, music director Vinu Manassu, cinematographers Haalesh and Vijay Subrahmanya, Harish S.M., Sanjay, and many other members of the film team spoke about the film. T. S. Nagabharana, Manasi Sudhir, Bhojaraj Vamanjoor, and others are part of the star cast of the film.
