“I was working as an Assistant Professor at an engineering college. After a few days, I resigned from my job and started working as an assistant director under director Ravi Srivatsa. Later, after understanding cinema more deeply, I directed this film and also acted as the lead. My mother has produced the film. When we hear the word ‘Daiva’, what mostly comes to mind is Rishab Shetty’s film ‘Kantara’, in which he spoke about the Daivas of Dakshina Kannada. In this film, I have spoken about the Jogis of Mandya district. This is also a complete rural-flavored film. Without setting up any sets, most of the film was shot in a village near Sirsi. I have a role with two shades. The teaser and songs have already received a good response. The trailer too has been well appreciated. With the cooperation of the entire team, our film has come out well and is releasing on February 12. I request all of you to support our film,” he said.
Journalist and actor Manjuraj Surya (VCN Manju) said, “In this rural-themed film, I play the role of a teacher who provides education to village children through an NGO, and I have also worked as the co-director of the film.”
Lead actresses Neethu Roy and Surabhi Reddy, actor Arun Bachchan, music director Vijeth Manjayya, cinematographer Siddharth, and many other members of the film team also spoke about the film “Daiva”.
