It was a golden moment for the prestigious Raghavendra Chitravani, filled with cherished memories from the world of Chandanavana. On the birth anniversary of the humble and humane late D. V. Sudheendra, the event was organized by RCV to commemorate a remarkable milestone.

50 Years of Celebration for Kannada’s First Publicity Agency, Raghavendra Chitravani. Golden Jubilee logo unveiled by eminent personalities of the film industry

Kannada’s first publicity agency, Raghavendra Chitravani, is celebrating its Golden Jubilee, marking 50 glorious years of service. Founded in 1976 by late D. V. Sudheendra, the organization has so far provided publicity services to more than 3,000 films. In the history of Indian cinema, there is no other example of a publicity agency (PRO) that has been actively functioning for five decades.

At present, the organization is led by Sudheendra Venkatesh, with the support of Sunil Sudheendra (son of D. V. Sudheendra), D. G. Vasudev, and Pawan Venkatesh. Raghavendra Chitravani is planning a grand Golden Jubilee celebration in April, and as a prelude to this, the Golden Jubilee logo unveiling ceremony was held recently.

Senior actor J. K. Srinivasamurthy, actor Komal Kumar, and actress Anu Prabhakar Mukherjee unveiled the Golden Jubilee logo. D. V. Sudheendra’s wife, Mrs. Padma Sudheendra, was present on the occasion. Following the unveiling, the dignitaries spoke fondly about Sudheendra and the legacy of the Raghavendra Chitravani organization.

Veteran actor J. K. Srinivasamurthy shared golden words on the occasion, emphasizing the importance of cherishing good memories and continuing in the industry without complaint. He said, “Raghavendra Chitravani has completed 50 years, and I too have completed 50 years in the film industry. I have been associated with Sudheendra from the early days. It is truly joyful to see a publicity agency functioning so actively even today. I wish Raghavendra Chitravani reaches its 100-year milestone.” Veterans like me should cherish good memories instead of complaining was the golden advice from ‘Bhojaraja’ Srinivasamurthy on this occasion.

“It was Sudheendra who blessed me saying, ‘You will grow into a big actor in the Kannada film industry.’ Seeing Sudheendra’s large family gives me immense happiness. After his demise, Venkatesh has taken on the responsibility and is managing the organization efficiently. The entire family stands together, reflecting our joint family culture. By the grace of Rayaru, may Raghavendra Chitravani gain even more recognition pointed popular actor Komal Kumar.

Noted state award winning actress Anu Prabhakar Mukerjee said “I have grown up watching Sudheendra sir from my days as a child artist. Our families share a close bond. As everyone has said, it is truly a matter of pride that a publicity agency has been actively functioning for 50 years.”

Speaking about the journey of Raghavendra Chitravani, Sudheendra Venkatesh thanked the dignitaries who unveiled the logo and said that preparations are underway to celebrate the Golden Jubilee in a grand manner this April. He expressed gratitude to the film industry and the media fraternity for their constant encouragement over the years and mentioned that the third generation of the family has now joined hands with the organization.

Sunil Sudheendra, son of D. V. Sudheendra, became emotional during the event. D. G. Vasudev thanked his Chikkappa for guiding him to this stage. Pawan Venkatesh, who has already directed a short film and is managing RCV’s digital platform, expressed hope of bringing quality films and meaningful ventures under the banner in the coming days.

The guests were presented with mementoes, and the invitees were treated to a traditional feast featuring Bisibele Bath, Bonda, Mosaranna, and Jalebi, marking the occasion on a warm and memorable note.
