After the Kannada film Judgement, another courtroom drama film is now under production in Kannada cinema. The film is titled ‘Parthan Parapancha’, written, screenplayed, and directed by Sriharsha M.N.
Produced by Seetha Harshavardhan under the banner Siri Cinemas, the film features Vikas (famous for TV serial Annayya), Mandara, Rangayana Raghu, Amit, and Sampath Maitreya in key roles. Currently, the shooting of ‘Parthan Parapancha’ is underway at Kanteerava Studio.
Director Sriharsha says this film is a courtroom drama combined with a suspense thriller. Rangayana Raghu plays a defense lawyer, while Seetha plays the role of a public prosecutor. Jai Anand is the cinematographer and Ananth Aryan is the music director. The entire story is set in Bengaluru. Around 4–5 days of shooting have already been completed, and currently the shoot is happening on the courtroom set, he said.
Producer Seetha, who is also acting in the film, said that an amazing team has come together. Along with producing the film under Siri Cinemas, she is also playing an important role.
Lead actor Vikas said this is a story that connects with today’s times. It is a content-driven film close to reality. He plays a lawyer, and the director has explained very well how a case progresses through various twists and turns, he said.
Heroine Mandara said that after Blank, she was waiting for a good role. She plays a bold girl with a modern lifestyle. The director has created her character very well, and she felt happy after listening to the story.
Actor Amit said he plays a character named Mayank, which is very interesting.
Rangayana Raghu said that Harsha has already worked in television and is the son of writer Narasimhamurthy. Sriharsha has imagined incidents that no one could guess. Vikas, a boy from Madikeri, plays a lawyer, and the film beautifully shows what all happens when he follows a single clue. After Tagaru, Agnyaathavaasi, and Shaakahari, this is a completely different kind of role, he said.
Cinematographer Jai Anand said that even though he has handled the camera for 35 films, this story is different and trendy. A 45-day shooting schedule is planned, out of which 20–25 days will be shot entirely in the courtroom.
Music director Ananth Aryan said the film has four songs. Nagaraj and Sriharsha Belmannu have sung songs, and Jaskaran Singh has also sung. None of the songs follow a regular pattern, and he himself is doing the re-recording.
Dialogue writer Anivarya said that every character lives with the fear of when their mask will fall off. Rangayana Raghu’s character can be called the soul of the entire film.
Actors Sampath Maitreya and Kiran Nayak also spoke about ‘Parthan Parapancha’.
