Your favorite Colors Kannada channel, which brings a flood of entertainment to Kannada television viewers, is now ready to place two heart-touching new stories in your lap.
In “Gauri Kalyana,” a mother who has promised herself that she will get her three daughters married into good, wealthy families; in “Pavitra Bandhana,” an elder brother who has vowed to do anything for the happiness of his younger brother. These two distinct stories will begin airing on Colors Kannada from Tuesday, January 27.
Gauri Kalyana – Kantalakshmi, a decent homemaker from a traditional middle-class family, has three beautiful daughters—Monika, Gauri, and Chinmayi. Her great desire is to send all three of her daughters as daughters-in-law into wealthy families. Having suffered hardships in poverty herself, she longs that her children should not go through the same struggles. Her sole dream is the bright future of her children.
Attracted by the wealth of the Dinabandhu family, the mother aspires to marry off her eldest daughter into that household. For that, she makes various efforts. Will those efforts, and the path she chooses to achieve her goal, lay a bed of flowers for her children—or turn into a thorny path? That remains to be seen. What kind of emotional challenges will they face in the coming days? What twists will occur after marriage? These form the soul of the serial “Gauri Kalyana.”
Here, the protagonist Gauri is a wide-eyed dreamer. Relationships are her very breath. A strong-willed woman who erupts when her self-respect is hurt! Her destination is the welfare of her small family. A self-reliant soul who dreams of standing as a support to her family. She has the determination to become a good designer. Her resolve is to stand on her own strength without depending on anyone. But life is not an easy road without obstacles, is it?
The emotional struggle between the simplicity of middle-class people and the expectations of affluent society is the highlight of “Gauri Kalyana.” It features the dominance of money and power, and also depicts the conflict between the upper and lower classes. Along with conveying values within relationships, this serial will also be a mirror to the bond between sisters. It will poignantly reveal how deep the divide is between the rich and the poor.
In the mega serial Gauri Kalyana, Shilpa Kamath plays Gauri, Sharath Kumar plays Vivek Chakravarthy, Deepika Sharan Shetty plays Kantalakshmi, Ashok Jambe plays Shantaveeranna, Sahana plays Monika, Niharika Shetty plays Chinmayi, Gurudatta plays Chakravarthy (he has accepted on the confidence he has on Ramji), Sheila plays Sarita, and Jyothi plays Chanchala.
The serial is produced by Ramji and directed by Bharath Kumar N Mysore. Having already caught attention through its promo, “Gauri Kalyana” is sure to offer viewers a fresh experience.
