“MAHARANI CRICKET LEAGUE SEASON 1 (MCL)” CELEBRITY WOMEN’S CRICKET TOURNAMENT HELD

The Maharani Cricket League Season 1 (MCL) celebrity women’s cricket tournament, presented by producer Madhavanand’s Kannada OTT platform, was held on January 17 at the Ashok Rising Star Cricket Stadium in Bengaluru. Six women’s celebrity teams participated in the tournament, which took place over a single day.

The tournament was inaugurated by Pujya Shree Jambunatha Malimath Guruji by lighting the ceremonial lamp. Several dignitaries attended the event to watch the matches, including Education Minister Madhu Bangarappa, former minister H.M. Revanna, Uppara Development Corporation Chairman Bharamanna Uppara, Film Chamber Secretary D.K. Ramakrishna (Praveen), artistes Gururaj Hosakote, Vikram Soori, Raghubhat, Niranjan Deshpande, and anchor Bigg Boss Janhavi. They interacted with the players and shared words of encouragement with the participants of MCL Season 1.

Six teams took part in the tournament: MCL Times Insight Warriors owned by Sharath Kumar S, NSR Riders owned by Raghukumar B, VP Challengers owned by R.S. Mahesh, PRM Titans owned by Prema Gowda, Classic Queen owned by Lakshman Uppar, and RJ Royal owned by Rainesha. The tournament featured around 60 celebrity players, including Spoorthi Vishwas, Jayalakshmi, Kavitha Kambar, Prema Gowda, and Vanishree.

The NSR Riders team, owned by Raghukumar, won the MCL Season 1 title. The Classic Queen team, owned by Lakshman Uppar from Dharwad, finished as runners-up. The event was hosted by anchor Harish Nagaraj. The matches were streamed live on Anand Sport.

The tournament was organised by producer Madhavanand along with Kumar, Meena Gowda, and actress Renu Shikhari. The MCL Season 1 matches were conducted on January 17 at the Ashok Rising Star Cricket Ground in Bengaluru.
