“GRAMAYANA” FILM’S “BENKI” SONG RELEASED

The song “Benki” from the film Gramayana has been released and is gaining attention in villages and towns. The song release event was held in the presence of actor Shivarajkumar, who unveiled the track and conveyed his wishes to the team. Geetha Shivarajkumar was also present.

Gramayana is produced by Lahari Films, directed by Devanuru Chandru, and stars Vinay Rajkumar and Megha Shetty in the lead roles. The music for “Benki” is composed by Poornachandra Tejaswi and sung by Kapil Kapilan and Ira Udupi. The song is a remix of “Ninnane Naanu Benkiyallu Thampu Kandenu” from the film Man Mechchida Hudugi, which featured Shivarajkumar. The original version was composed by Upendra Kumar, written by Chi. Udayashankar, and sung by S. P. Balasubrahmanyam and S. Janaki. The same song has now been reused in Gramayana. After the song release, members of the film team addressed the gathering.

Speaking at the event in the presence of Lahari institution head Manohar Naidu, producer Lahari Velu said Gramayana is the ninth film produced under the Lahari banner. He stated that the film has a rural backdrop and that Vinay Rajkumar, Megha Shetty, and other artistes have performed in the film. He also noted that the original song from Man Mechchida Hudugi was released by Lahari and that the remix version has also been released by the same banner. He thanked Shivarajkumar for releasing the song.

Director Devanuru Chandru said the film, which had been stalled earlier due to unavoidable reasons, has now been completed and is planned for a theatrical release in February. He thanked Lahari Films for taking up the project again and also acknowledged K. P. Srikant. He described Gramayana as a rural-based film and said Vinay Rajkumar will be seen in a different manner in this project. The cast includes Megha Shetty, Achyuth Kumar, Gopalakrishna Deshpande, Arun Sagar, Bala Rajawadi, Aparna, and Seetha Kote, with Loose Mada Yogi appearing in a special role. He stated that cinematographer Santosh Rai Pataje completed the shoot ahead of schedule and that Poornachandra Tejaswi has composed the songs, including “Benki.”

Actor Vinay Rajkumar said the release of Gramayana coincides with the 50th year of the Lahari banner. He stated that feedback on his performance has been positive and credited the director for it. He mentioned that Santosh Rai Pataje’s cinematography adds to the visual aspect of the film and that Poornachandra Tejaswi’s songs reflect the film’s theme. He also revealed that his character in the film is named Sixth Sense Seena and thanked his uncle and aunt for releasing the “Benki” song.

Actress Megha Shetty thanked the producers and director for the opportunity and said her character in the film is named Kusuma. She described the role as that of a strong-willed woman who behaves fearlessly.

Cinematographer Santosh Rai Pataje, music director Poornachandra Tejaswi, and actors Arun Sagar and Gopalakrishna Deshpande, along with other members of the film team, also spoke about Gramayana at the event.
