The Hollywood film Mission Santa is set to release this Christmas. The fully animated film has drawn attention after details emerged about its production process. The film has been created entirely by Indian animators, marking it as a significant project for Karnataka and the Indian animation sector.

All animation work for Mission Santa, from the beginning to the end of the film, has been executed in India by Indian animation artists. The project highlights the involvement of talent from Karnataka and across the country.

Mission Santa has been co-produced with Germany-based Toon2Tango. The film also involved Mark13 in Germany and Cosmic Dino in Australia for post-production work. This international collaboration places Karnataka within a global animation production framework.

The film reflects the development of India’s animation ecosystem. More than 150 animation artists from Bengaluru worked on the project for 20 months. These artists are associated with Studio 56 Animation, one of Karnataka’s animation production companies.

Several Kannada professionals, including Harish Krishnamurthy, Ashwin Narayan, C. Karthikeyan, Roshan Ingole, Manraj Singh, Kunal Deep, and Akhil Magotra, were part of the animation team.

Speaking about the film, Brad Vision India producer and managing director Gauri Sriram said that Mission Santa represents a milestone in Indian animation history and is a project linked to Karnataka. She stated that the film aims to offer a Disney-level storytelling experience for Indian families planning to spend time with their children during Christmas.
