Director Raghu Shivamogga’s third film The Task is gearing up for its theatrical release on November 21. The teaser of the action-thriller was launched at GT Mall, Bengaluru. ADGP M. Chandrashekhar, Lahari Velu from Lahari Music, Veerakaputra Srinivas of Vishnu Sena, directors Pavan Wadeyar, Simple Suni and Bahaddur Chetan attended the event as special guests and conveyed their wishes to the team.
After the teaser launch, ADGP M. Chandrashekhar said a mission-oriented subject like ‘Task’ is familiar within uniformed services and added that cinema with a message creates stronger social impact. He noted that filmmaking involves significant effort and said the teaser looks good while wishing success to the two lead actors and acknowledging the presence of a strong cast.
Director Pavan Wadeyar said the teaser appears promising and the lead actors look good on screen. He stated that Raghu Shivamogga gives importance to writing and filmmaking. He mentioned that actor Rajesh’s son has received full support from his father for his film ambitions and wished success to the team and the film.
Filmmaker Chetan Kumar commented that the teaser is terrific and that the director has given viewers a task to guess the story. He remarked that the two lead actors appear powerful together. He said Raghu Shivamogga’s acting is known for its realism and believed that his choice of stories also reflects that. He noted that the director keeps audiences engaged till the final scene and that the film features a strong technical and acting team.
Director Simple Suni recalled Raghu Shivamogga’s earlier achievements including a state award for his short film and the cult reception to his film Choori Katte. He said actor Jayasurya is known in the industry as ‘Mr Sandalwood’ and pointed out Sagar’s presence after his role in Pentagon. He stated that the team is awaiting the film’s release.
Speaking about the project, director Raghu Shivamogga said the role of the producers has been crucial in making the film. He stated that the film belongs to the action-thriller genre and has been written taking inspiration from several real-life incidents, and expressed gratitude to the technical team for their support.
Sagar, who previously acted in Pentagon, and Jayasurya, known for his negative role in Bheema, play the lead roles in The Task. The cast also includes Achyuth Kumar, Gopal Krishna Deshpande, Shrilakshmi, Aravind Kuplikar, Harini Srikanth, Balaji Manohar, Sampath Maitreya, BM Giriraj, Bharat GB, PD Satish Chandra, Kiran Naik, Ashwin Hasan and Raghu Shivamogga himself.
The film is produced by Vijay Kumar and Ramanna under the Lokapoojya Picture House banner. Judah Sandy has composed the music, while Prakash Karinja has handled editing.
The teaser of The Task presents action-filled moments without revealing plot details, building curiosity around the story, which is inspired by real incidents.
