Rippan Swamy, starring Vijay Raghavendra, is set to release across Karnataka on August 29. The teaser and trailer of the film will be released shortly.
In recent times, Vijay Raghavendra has been taking up films with varied subjects and distinct characters. Rippan Swamy is one such project. The film is directed by Kishore Moodabidri, who had earlier directed Malgudi Days.
The film has two songs, which are considered highlights. Vijay Raghavendra is seen in a raw look in this film. Ashwini Chandrashekhar, an actor from Shivamogga who has previously worked in Kannada, Tamil, and Telugu films, plays the female lead.
The supporting cast includes Prakash Tummi Nadu, Vajradeer Jain, Yamuna Srinidhi, Mohan Sheni, Krishnamurthy Kavattar, Prabhakar Kundar, Ranjan Shetty, and Santosh Shetty.
The film is produced under the Panchanana Films banner. It marks the first production from the banner, which is backed by a group of like-minded individuals. Shooting has taken place in and around Koppa, Kalasa, and Balehonnur.
Music is composed by Malayalam music director Samyuktha Abhi. Cinematography is by Ranganath C. M., and editing is by Shashank Narayan. Posters of the film have already attracted public attention.
