The 6th edition of the Innovative International Film Festival held a special significance this time, with the presence of distinguished figures from the Indian film industry.
In a vast auditorium, the nationally renowned SV Rajendra Singh Babu, veteran actors Ambika and Roja, top-tier director Bharathiraja, the President of KFCC, and committee members, along with enthusiastic fans, showed their support for the outstanding achievements of Rishab Shetty and Rakshit Shetty.
Rakshit Shetty was bestowed with the title of ‘Trending Actor’ for his role in the film ‘777 Charlie,’ while Rishab Shetty, the talent behind ‘Kantara,’ received the prestigious ‘Iconic Director’ award at this grand event organized by Rockline Venkatesh, the Innovative Film Academy, Innovative International Film Festival founder Sharavana Prasad, Marathhalli Innovative Multiplex, and other collaborators.
The inauguration of the four-day film festival at Marathhalli Multiplex was graced by the presence of IAS official Apoorva Chandra, Ravi Kottarkar, President of the Film Federation of India, and foreign film industry representatives.
Rishab Shetty expressed his gratitude, saying that all awards coming to ‘Kantara’ are like a recognition for the people of Karnataka. He emphasized the significant support from Kannada audiences and called for a dedicated international platform for Kannada films. He suggested that NFDC and Film Bazaar should consider this proposal, and a memorandum to this effect was presented to IAS officer Apoorvachandra.
Rakshit Shetty, addressing the enthusiastic gathering, acknowledged the challenge of portraying a character like ‘Charlie’ in the film and the film’s success despite its limited budget of Rs. 20,000. He mentioned the 170 days of intense shooting, with each shot requiring 40 takes. Rakshit Shetty also expressed his reservations about a sequel to ‘777 Charlie’ and expressed his gratitude for the Dada Saheb Phalke award given to him by the MSK Trust.
During this momentous occasion at the 6th Innovative International Film Festival, dialogue King Saikumar, an actor with a portfolio of over 200 films, along with SV Rajendra Singh Babu and Bharathiraja, two eminent directors from South India, were honored for their five decades of contribution to the film industry and their remarkable contributions to cinema.
