The makers of the much-awaited film “45” have announced its release date through a unique video. Creating buzz since its inception and being one of the most anticipated films of 2025, “45” is slated for a grand release on August 15, coinciding with Independence Day. Typically, release dates are revealed via posters, but the “45” team opted for a creative approach. Director Arjun Janya collaborated with young talent Prajwal Aras to produce a distinctive 3D video for the date announcement.

In this visually rich video, Shivrajkumar is seen stylishly riding a scooter while shooting at invaders. The video climaxes with him shooting at a hill, causing an explosion that reveals portraits of the three lead actors, unveiling the release date. Such innovative attempts are rare in Kannada cinema. Fans are mesmerized by Shivanna’s stylish scooter-riding look, and within hours of its release, the video garnered millions of views and widespread appreciation.

The grand release date announcement event was attended by dignitaries like Minister Ramalinga Reddy, KVN Productions’ Venkat Narayan, former MLA Ramachandra Gowda, Dr. Sanjay Gowda, Anand Audio’s Shyam Chhabria, Anand Chhabria, K. Manju, Indrajit Lankesh, Kiran Bharthur, and Shreyas Manju. Producer Ramesh Reddy’s son Sooraj unveiled the video announcing the film’s release date, making it special as it coincided with his birthday. Following the release, members of the film team addressed the audience.

Producer M. Ramesh Reddy expressed that the content of the film is paramount. Whether the film grosses ₹1,000 crores, ₹100 crores, or ₹50 crores is up to God. Judging by the film’s making and the curiosity it has generated, he is confident it will be well-received. He mentioned investing as much as required for the film and hoped for everyone’s support.

Director Arjun Janya shared that the shooting for “45” has been completed, including dubbing and post-production. The film involves extensive VFX work, handled by the renowned MARZ studio from Canada. The graphics will be completed by the end of May, leading to the August 15 release. He expressed disbelief over helming a multi-starrer film as his directorial debut, featuring stalwarts like Shivrajkumar, Upendra, and Raj B. Shetty. He credited the producers and the team for their support in bringing the film to life.

Actor Upendra praised the exceptional collaboration between the director and producers, applauding Arjun Janya’s filmmaking approach. He remarked that the event felt more like a success meet than a release date announcement and expressed eagerness to see Shivanna on screen.

Actor Raj B. Shetty shared his excitement as a Kannadiga and a Kannada film enthusiast for the release of “45.” He considered it a privilege to work with talented technicians. Initially, he had declined the role, expressing his focus on directing, but he later joined the film, ensuring his directorial ambitions wouldn’t hinder the project. He eagerly awaits the film’s release, especially as a fan of Shivanna and Upendra, appreciating their support for emerging actors.

Stunt directors Dr. Ravi Varma, Different Danny, cinematographer Satya Hegde, and other team members also shared insights about the film.
