The magnum opus multilingual film 45, in Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Hindi languages, had its trailer launch event on Monday night at Donkana Grounds in Bengaluru.
The Bengaluru City Police Commissioner, Mr. Seemanth Kumar Singh, declared open the trailer of the mega-budget movie 45, produced by Suraj Productions, at exactly 8.01 pm and wished the team grand success. At the same time, the trailer was released in six other districts of Karnataka, and audiences from Mysuru were addressed by the trio of top stars — Dr. Shivarajakumar, Upendra, and Raj B. Shetty.
The producer of the much-expected film, Ramesh Reddy, Dr. Shivarajakumar, Upendra, Raj B. Shetty, debutant director Arjun Janya, who is famous for his music direction, and actors Sudharani and Pramod Shetty graced the massive and mesmerizing dais.
Releasing the trailer, the top cop Seemanth Kumar Singh stated that the film 45 has a good message for the police department and that with top actors Shivarajakumar, Upendra, and Raj B. Shetty, the film would do well at the box office.

The very humble and generous producer of today’s Kannada cinema, Ramesh Reddy, welcomed everyone on the occasion and said that he is proud to be a part of the film ‘45’. He shared that the film gave him immense experience and expressed his happiness that ‘45’ would be loved by everyone.
“If Shivanna had not encouraged told me to take up direction, I definitely wouldn’t have been standing here. Upendra is a director icon; I have grown in his shadow and learned a lot from him. We have spoken about many things in this film. In today’s times, some of our values have been forgotten by everyone. I am conveying those through this film. If one understands those values, every home will be illuminated.
In this film, apart from the three heroes, the fourth hero is our producer. Without his cooperation, it wouldn’t have been possible for me to do all this,” explained Arjun Janya, the magical composer of Kannada cinema, speaking about his debut directorial venture.
Dr. Shivarajakumar, speaking at the grand event, said, “45 is my 129th film. The same kind of fear and devotion that I had while doing my first film Anand, I had while doing this film as well. When Arjun Janya narrated this story to me, I was very surprised. I wondered how he got such a thought.
45 can mean anything — a day, a second, a minute. This is not one person’s film; it will attract and connect with everyone who watches it. While doing the climax of the film, I was in chemo.
Both my role and Upendra’s role will be in our own styles. Once a director creates something, an artist must do the role properly, whatever it may be — whether it is singing a duet song or cleaning a bathroom. Only then does it get value.”
“It has been my fortune to be part of this film. Behind the screen, there are three heroes for this film,” stated superstar Upendra while addressing the mammoth gathering. “The first hero of this film is producer Ramesh Reddy, the second is director Arjun Janya, and the third is cinematographer Sathya Hegde. I am very close to Dr. Shivarajakumar and his family.
This is a very good moment to remember Dr. Rajakumar, who said ‘Abhimanigale Devaru’ — Fans are Gods. It is similar to how Gnanapith Award winner Dr. Kuvempu found God in writing and Dr. Shivarama Karanth found God in nature,” described Upendra.
Raj B. Shetty, the most happening personality in Kannada cinema today as a director, actor, and producer, disclosed that he is a fan of Shivarajakumar and Upendra. Showcasing his magnanimity, he revealed that the first thousand rupees he earned as profit from his recent film Su from So was distributed — Rs.500 each — to director Arjun Janya and producer Ramesh Reddy, wishing them grand success for 45.
High-caliber actress Sudharani said she felt very happy to be part of the film despite her brief role, while Pramod Shetty stated that he never dreamt of getting a chance to be part of such a film in his career.
45 is the most eagerly awaited release, scheduled for December 25.
