The Government of Karnataka has announced the State Film Awards for the year 2021. A total of 58 films were submitted for consideration. Of these, five films—Physics Teacher, Puttana Swarga, Savitri, Dear Vikram, and Ekachakra—were excluded due to reasons such as re-censoring in 2022, absence of censor certificate in the submitted name, runtime under 90 minutes, and technical issues. The committee viewed 53 films and finalized the winners.
