The period film “1990’s,” available in five languages, evokes nostalgic moments, particularly in its portrayal of love. The teaser, released simultaneously in four languages, was recently unveiled at Taj Vivanta.
The teaser launch for the Arun-Rani Varad starrer “1990’s,” directed by Nandakumar CM and produced under the banner of Manasu Mallige Combines, was held recently. Many dignitaries, including Lahari Velu, released the Telugu teaser, while the Kannada teaser was presented by Arun’s mother. The Hindi teaser was not released on that day due to technical reasons.
“I have been in the film industry for twenty years, and this is my debut film as a director. The film’s success is attributed to cinematographer Halesh, music director Maharaj, composer Krishna, choreographer Sadiq Sardar, and the lead actor, Arun. Their support and collaboration made this project possible. I am grateful to them and to the production company, Manasu Mallige Combines. ‘1990’s’ is a love story set in the nineties, with Arun and Rani Varad in the lead roles. The film’s shooting and post-production are complete, and it will be released soon. It will be available in Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi. As a pan-India film, the title ‘1990’s’ was chosen,” said director Nandakumar. He also mentioned that the film’s antagonist is sure to captivate audiences.
With ten years of experience as a theater artist, this is my first film on the big screen. Nandakumar has crafted a compelling story, and everyone involved believes in its potential. Actor Arun stated that he plays the role of an innocent lover in the film and mentioned that he is the son of senior editor Janardhan.
Technicians and artists such as cinematographer Halesh, music director Maharaj, composer Krishna, and choreographer Sadiq Sardar shared their thoughts about the film briefly.
